Mark Breta
Mark has been with Moody Radio Chicago since February 2007. Mark has a bachelor's degree in Bible and Music and has toured internationally as an independent recording artist and worship leader. In making a transition to broadcasting, Mark has worked with K-Love Radio and WTMX Chicago, Ill. Mark has served as coordinating producer for This Is The Day on Moody Radio Chicago. You may see Mark at various events with the Moody Radio Promotions Team. On the air, Mark can be heard mid-afternoons. |

Brian Dahlen
Brian grew up in Burnsville, Minn. and holds a bachelor’s degree in social science/history and a master’s degree in education. While teaching public high school in the Minneapolis area, he began working part-time in broadcasting as the co-host/producer of a weekly talk radio program. After six years of teaching and two years of part-time broadcasting, Brian began working full-time in Christian radio with Moody Radio Chicago. Since June 2008, Brian has served as the coordinating producer for The Morning Ride. He now lives on the South Side of Chicago with his wife, Sara, and their three small children, Grace, Marshall and Sophia. |

Mark Elfstrand
Mark, a native of Minnesota, attended Lutheran Bible Institute in Seattle and later American River College and Sierra College, both in California. He served in the United States Air Force from 1971-1975, during which time he worked for the American Forces Radio and Television Service as a news and sports journalist in Iceland.
Mark has more than 28 years of broadcast experience. From 1991-1998, he was the talk radio voice of WORD FM in Pittsburgh. He was the morning voice and program director for two Dallas radio stations from 1987-1990, KOJO 94 and KCBI FM. Other radio experience included country music and adult contemporary formats in northern California and an overnight syndicated radio program. Along with his on-air talents, while in Pittsburgh, Mark and his wife, Rhonda, formed Elfstrand Enterprises. Their work included book publishing, leadership training and media programs on effectiveness in the workplace. For several years, Mark co-authored a business advice column called "Dear Workplace Counselor" with nationally-known author and business consultant Sam Deep.
Mark is the host of The Morning Ride on Moody Radio Chicago. He has presented seminars on leadership and has been a speaker at conferences and retreats. Broadcast assignments have included travel to Israel, China, Russia, Romania, Ukraine, Vietnam, Thailand and Ecuador in conjunction with various ministry outreach programs. He has authored two books: Recliner Reflections, a devotional-style book of inspirational thoughts based on Mark’s open heart surgery in May 2005, and Ten Passions of a Man’s Soul, released in August 2006.
Mark and Rhonda reside in Plainfield, Ill. and have three married children and several grandchildren. |

John Hayden
John's radio career began immediately after high school, hosting various programs for KLJC in Kansas City, Mo. Since then, John has hosted morning programs, midday shows, been a program director, a station manager and an operations manager. In 1999, John moved to Chicago to work with Moody Radio. John is manager of Chicago operations and the host of Sunday Praise on Moody Radio Chicago. In addition to his work in broadcasting, each year John works with the National Religious Broadcasters Radio Committee, helping put together a portion of the annual convention in Nashville. He and his wife, Donna, have three children. John enjoys playing racquetball and hunting and fishing. |

Monte Larrick
Monte serves as the senior news correspondent for Moody Radio Chicago. Monte holds a bachelor's degree in broadcast communications from Columbia College of Chicago. He also attended Moody Bible Institute and has been with Moody Radio for 30 years. Monte is a native of Wilmington, Ohio. He and his wife, Miriam, have three daughters, Camielle, Carleigh and Jordan (deceased). Monte enjoys swimming, reading and watching baseball. |

Jasper Lukose
Jasper began his career in broadcasting with Moody Radio Chicago in 2002. He has served in various departments including promotions and production and as a program host. He earned a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Moody Bible Institute in 2006 and began serving with Koinonia Ministries as director of programs. In 2008, he returned to media ministry with Moody Radio and now serves as producer of national drive time content. He hosts Just for Kids!, heard on Moody Radio Chicago and on Moody Radio Chicago HD3, as “Jazzy Jasper.” You can also hear Jasper on Moody Radio’s Praise & Worship Channel. |

Tim Mast
Tim, originally from Ontario, Canada, graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2008 with a degree in communications/radio broadcasting. He started working part-time at Moody Radio Chicago in 2006 and now assists with the The Morning Ride as call screener and Web administrator. He lives in downtown Chicago and loves playing and watching hockey and rooting for his all-time favorite team, the Detroit Red Wings. |

Dave Mitchell
Since beginning his full-time radio career in March 1973, Dave has worked exclusively in the Chicago market: at WCFL as the on-air and production director; at WXEZ as the afternoon drive host and in production; and at WSCR as an on-air host. Dave currently serves as Moody Radio Chicago's news anchor/news director. Since accepting this position in 1999, Dave has led formatting the news presentation, assigning coverage of news stories and anchoring morning news. Since 1992, Dave has also been news anchor and reporter for WBBM Chicago.
Dave has received a number of awards and honors, including 2002 Best Newscast in Chicago/St. Louis by The Associated Press, the 2001 News award from the National Religious Broadcasters, 2000 Best Newscast and second place in Chicago/St. Louis by The Associated Press, 1999 Best Newscast and second place in Chicago/St. Louis by The Associated Press and the 1997 Best Public Service Campaign Achievement in Radio. |

Roy Patterson Roy is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Trinity International University. He is host of Moody Radio Chicago's Urban Praise and two nationally-syndicated programs, Celebration of Praise and Music for Sunday. Roy is also a pastor, praise and worship leader, arranger, producer and vocalist. He has led praise and worship throughout America and internationally, and led seminars on biblical diversity. Roy has served as a youth pastor for 10 years and has provided substance abuse counseling to youth and adults. Roy has been married to his wife, Lynette, for over 25 years, and has three children. |

Lillian Roby
Lillian is the producer of Urban Praise on AM 1110 Moody Radio Chicago. Lillian previously was an associate producer with the Total Living Network (TLN). During her time with TLN, she was nominated along with an entire team of producers for two Chicago/Midwest Emmys, for the talk shows Total Living with Jerry Rose and Newsmakers. |

Dan Royle
Dan grew up as a missionary kid in West Africa and still considers Africa his home. With his parents working with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Burkina Faso, Dan attended International Christian Academy in Ivory Coast. He attended college in Minnesota and Chicago, earning degrees in pastoral ministries and radio broadcasting. Dan serves alongside The Morning Ride team at Moody Radio Chicago as the technical producer. He and his wife, Rachel, have one daughter and live in Naperville, Ill. |

Julie Roys
Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Wheaton College and a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University. Julie started her career as a TV reporter for a CBS affiliate in Fort Wayne, Ind. She also worked as a newswriter for WGN-TV and Fox News in Chicago before taking 13 years off to raise her three children. During that time, she and her husband served as youth directors for their church. Julie has also served as a worship leader and has recorded songs she’s written on two CDs. In November 2007, Julie joined Moody Radio as mornings coordinating producer, then transitioned into her current position as senior producer/on-air talent. Julie lives in the northwest Chicago suburbs with her husband, two sons and one daughter. |

Abby Ryan
Abby hails from Chicago's South Side and is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute. For eight years, Abby was the traffic reporter for WBEZ Chicago, Ill. Her voice can be heard on radio and television commercials across the country. Since she began her time at Moody Radio Chicago, Abby has covered the news and traffic reports and worked behind the scenes on various programs, but her favorite job to date was hosting Just for Kids. Scott Thunder
Scott is a 25-year veteran of Christian radio, having served in Seattle, Portland, Wichita and Nashville. Scott’s experience ranges from programming the modern rock channel on Crosswalk.com to writing and producing the CCM Radio Magazine to being a consultant for Time-Life’s “Songs For Life” series. In addition to radio work, Scott is also a published columnist, reporter, playwright and short story writer. Scott can be heard on Saturday afternoons on Moody Radio Chicago, bringing you good music and updates on community events, weather and more. |

Nancy Turner
Born in Mishawaka, Ind., but raised in Niles, Mich., Nancy began her radio career in high school, producing and hosting a program on the local radio station. After graduating from high school, she continued to study broadcasting and through her career has worked at stations WNIL Niles, Mich., WSJM St. Joseph, Mich., WJVA Mishawaka, Ind., WMAQ Chicago, Ill., Satellite Music Network, Mokena, Ill., WUSN Chicago, Ill., WKQX Chicago, Ill., WLS Chicago, Ill. and Moody Radio Chicago, Ill.
Nancy has helped host the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon on WGN Television, fund raising efforts on WTTW television in Chicago and the Country Music Today program on local Chicago television. Nancy is host of This Is The Day at Moody Radio in Chicago, and music show host of This Is The Day, the evening edition. She also hosts Music for Sunday and the Praise and Worship Channel streaming on the Internet. Nancy is married and has one daughter. She enjoys reading, baking and experiencing the outdoors.
