Dave BowersDave Bowers
Dave was born Dec. 20, 1954, just eight weeks after hurricane Hazel roared through his hometown of Harrisburg, Penn. The storm ripped down trees and power lines and even destroyed a neighbor’s front porch. His interest in weather started with stories told to him about Hazel as well as experiencing the big blizzard of 1966. That storm dropped over a foot of snow, but it was the three days of howling winds that followed that left the biggest impression. Drifts of 15–20 feet kept schools closed for two weeks! Dave received a B.S. degree in Meteorology from Penn State University in 1976.

Dave and his wife, Judith, have been married since 1979 and they have five children and a grandchild. Dave is active at his church where he serves as an elder.

Cisco CottoCisco Cotto
Cisco started delivering The Beacon News around his Aurora neighborhood when he was 9. He went to work at McDonald’s when he was 14 and worked his way up to manager. Between those two jobs, Cisco learned one important lesson: working hard really stinks. So, he decided to get into radio.

After graduating from Aurora Christian High School, he went to Western Illinois University to study radio and television. His experience includes being a news reporter and anchor at 670 AM WMAQ and 890 AM WLS, Chicago, Ill. After a stint working with Big John Howell at 560 AM WIND he came back to 890 AM WLS where he hosted a show until 2011. He is now working as a fill-in host with Moody Radio.

Cisco has a Master of Divinity degree from Moody Bible Institute. That caused former colleague Jay Marvin to give him the nickname “The Reverend.” This may have been prophetic because Cisco, his wife Anna, and three children live in Oak Park and are a part of a team planting Village Church of Oak Park.

You can interact with Cisco at his Website, on Facebook and on Twitter.
